Meet Our Inspirational June End of Round Winners

At the end of every 12WBT round, we send out a call to all participants to nominate themselves to be an End of Round Winner, and the responses never cease to inspire us.

As with every round, making the call on the June winners was tough! The stories that have come through show how much progress everyday Aussies are making with their lives using 12WBT.

If you’re looking for inspiration – look no further!

I never thought I would reach the point where ‘maximum reached’ appeared on my fitness test.

This round I haven’t been avoiding social situations but I have resisted temptation and that has been really hard but proven to me that I have the resilience to make a lifestyle change.

I like that I look strong and fierce and that represents how I feel inside.

Pushing through the pain and past the excuses has paid off in more ways than I thought possible. I was nearly 92 kg wearing size 14 plus in clothing, feeling miserable and low in confidence. Since deciding that I was worth it and that my body deserves the love and attention, I’ve shed nearly 14kg!

I am so proud of losing 10kg in less than 12 weeks!

With this program, and the variety of recipes I didn’t feel I had to give up on anything, just to cut the portions. I feel so good now that I am going to keep my new habits and my “new me” and enjoy life.

I have lost 11kg, reduced measurements by 29cm and my fitness score went from 51 to 74. All of these I am so proud of because they are the measurable, statistical achievements that show how hard I worked. For myself I am very proud that I now feel fit, the first few weeks I was puffed doing anything, and now I feel ready for any physical challenge. I can do 18 push ups on my toes and my run of 1km in 4:38 was something I never thought possible in this short time.

I’m so proud of how far I have come this round and looking forward to smashing another 10kg in the next round!

My proudest moment was achieving my weight loss goal of losing 7kg.

In the past I’ve always become bored or felt unmotivated when getting fit. I can now see it was all in my mindset. My mindset has shifted, I feel happy and positive about my life. I’m less stressed and able to cope with any challenges that come my way.

It’s hard to explain, but I’m operating at a higher level. Two weeks into the programs I had changes at work increasing my stress levels significantly, usually this would be an excuse to not train, eat poorly etc. Instead, this time around I have embraced the changes, I have a greater perspective in highly stressful situations, and increased focus. I’m more measured and have a whole lot more energy.

I bought a special smaller plate that I eat my dinner off so it feels like a bigger portion. [I] always have fruit on hand -mandarins are the best, while your peeling you’re not craving!

I’ve been so pleased to achieve my goal weight loss of 10kgs during the 12 weeks.

The biggest hurdle for me was over coming a very bad habit of drinking wine every day! I’m embarrassed to admit it but it was becoming a serious problem and having tried many different tactics this program has been the one thing that has helped me kick the habit. I feel like a new person, to come home and have a herbal tea after a big day is now my new normal and I look forward to it. However I’m not resting there, I’ve signed up for another 12 weeks to cement my new lifestyle because I love it!

A HUGE congratulations to everyone who participated – you’re actually smashing life right now!
