Top Transformers

Tamara (aka tamara_new30)

What was the best part of taking part in 12WBT September round? I loved the accessibility of the fitness sessions and the menu! I could be on my iPhone in the lounge, outside or on the computer in the study. There’s so much variety of recipes, I never ever felt like I was on a “diet”.

What was the biggest challenge you faced? The biggest challenge was beating my emotional eating demons and sticking to the eating when I was stressed or upset. This is still something I am focused on improving.

Complete this sentence, “I know I’m doing 12WBT when..” My physical and mental health is feeling strong and positive.

Darmicka (aka Darmii)

What is the most important thing you learned as part of your 12WBT journey? Never give up. Consistency is the key to success! No need to be perfect – put effort into your every day by making small changes and you will have long term success.

Complete this sentence, “I know I’m doing 12WBT when..” My shopping cart is 100% filled with green vegetables, fruits, and wholegrain or wholemeal healthy options.

What health achievement are you most proud of i.e weight loss, body shape? 12 weeks ago I was overweight and had no energy but now I’ve lost 9kg and have reached my healthy weight range.

Samantha (aka sammy_west)

What was the best part of taking part in the 12WBT September round? Having all my meals for the week planned out, and knowing what and how to do the workouts each day. Also the food choice is amazing and I just love the 12WBT app.

What is the most important thing you have learned as part of your 12WBT journey? Portion control is really important. Working hard gives great results and when I set my mind to a task I can always push through and get the job done.

What physical achievement are you most proud of i.e fitness test, running? I am so proud with how much my fitness levels have increased and the amount of extra energy I have to go with it!

Jo (aka joji_1967)

What is the most important thing you learned as part of your 12WBT journey? The most important thing I learned as part of my 12 week journey was that small changes in habits and lifestyle lead to the transformation.

What health achievement are you most proud of? It’s definitely the level of fitness I have been able to reach in such a short period of time along with a substantial weight loss. This means that I am able to enjoy an active lifestyle with my family much more.

What fitness achievement are you most proud of? I found the Mini Milestone fitness testing such a valuable part of the 12WBT. I really enjoyed the challenges and wanted to out do myself each time. My body responded really well to exercise in such a dramatic and positive way. I love it!

Guido (aka Gweeds)

What was the best part of taking part in 12WBT September round? It was getting into the groove of exercising. With 12WBT I had a program to download, print and go to the gym with.  All I had to do is start the warm up and I knew that the exercises were there for me. It was hard, but also simple.

What is the most important thing you learned as part of your 12WBT journey? I was one of those who believed that ‘my body just doesn’t want to get thinner’. I learned that’s not true.  I remember watching a video from Michelle saying that she didn’t see a body type yet that didn’t respond to lowering calories and increasing exercise and that’s what happened with me.

What health achievement are you most proud of i.e weight loss, body shape? Weight loss and body shape is important, but at my age it was to finally bring down my blood pressure to a normal level for the first time in years. I went to my regular check up with my cardiologist and he was effusive in congratulating me for my efforts.

What habitual achievement are you proud of i.e beating the snooze button, taming the biscuit jar? Not even being phased by my 5am alarm!! And remembering that when people are shocked to hear that I get up at this time every day to exercise, that it IS pretty great!

Ikigai2015

What was the best part of taking part in 12WBT September round? Consolidating my goal to achieve the 54kg zone at 45 years old was the highlight of 2015 for me! I achieved this in the September round having begun in March 2015.
What is the most important thing you learned as part of your 12WBT journey? The most important thing I learnt for myself was to value FOCUS everyday and realign to it when I derail. (My definition became: Fun Focus, Objectives, Consistently, Until, Self Reliant Success!)

Complete this sentence, “I know I’m doing 12WBT when..” Everything begins to align in my life with synchronicity and moves forward positively because I am applying the best FOCUS.

Belinda (aka belindaboshell)

What was the biggest challenge you faced? Using new equipment at the gym I wasn’t familiar with or that are mostly taken up by the guys at the gym. I just put my brave face on with the 12WBT app to show me how and looked like I knew what I was doing 🙂

What was your favourite meal AND your favourite exercise plan? Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day so I was pleased with the Berry Muesli and Porridge with Pepitas and Pear. I also loved the variety of pita pocket recipes for lunch and used them as a pizza base for dinner.

What habitual achievement are you proud of i.e beating the snooze button, taming the biscuit jar? Skipping a workout because of a bad day at work. Instead, I tell me myself I need this because I’ve had a bad day!

Jacki (aka Jacki_iws)

What was the best part of taking part in 12WBT September round? The support and encouragement of fellow 12WBTers and the Support Crew.

What is the most important thing you learned as part of your 12WBT journey? I’m not alone – others struggle with some of the same stuff, but I CAN do this. One day at a time builds into a week, then a month, and beyond.

What habitual achievement are you proud of i.e beating the snooze button, taming the biscuit jar? Smoothies for breakfast instead of skipping brekkie. Love ’em!
